The finished photo calendars for 2013. You need the following supplies to complete this project:
- your favorite photos
- album
- scrapbook paper
- calendar months
- adhesive
I have my photos printed by my favorite processor and then start matching the photos to coordinating scrapbook paper. The months are created in Microsoft Word and printed on white copy paper. I trim the photo to fit a piece of 4.5″ x 6.5″ patterned paper and then mat the month in a coordinating solid paper. I artfully arrange so that the photo and month coexist perfectly together. Then load all 12 months in the album.
I could have these calendars created digitally, but it wouldn’t have the handcrafted feel that I demand. It also is a great way to use up scraps of beautiful paper. I have been creating these calendars for years and my family always looks forward to receiving the newest version. It is a fantastic way to share your photography with those you love.
The album I used is no longer available through Creative Memories, but this concept should be adaptable to any album on the market that has a build in stand.
Happy crafting!
