Mother’s Day is fast approaching, but you still have time to create a heartfelt, handmade card. The Patterned Paper Flower Card is quick and easy to make.
Gather the following tools and supplies to create the Patterned Paper Flower Card:

- Ultimate Card Making Tool Kit
- Sweet Treats cartridge
- Create a Critter 2 cartridge
- .75″ and 1″ circle punches
- embossing folders: herringbone and swiss dot
- white and colored cardstock
- patterned paper
- tape runner
- mini tape runner
- Fold the white cardstock so it is a finished size of 4.25″x 5.5″ and cut the teal cardstock to 5.25″x 4″.
- Fold the white cardstock in half lengthwise and use the bone folder to crisp the edge.
- Run the teal cardstock panel using the embossing folder through the Cuttlebug machine.
- Cut the “grass” paper to 4″ x 1.25″.
- Cut the flowers at 2″ from the Sweet Treats cartridge.
- Cut the stems at 3″ from the Create a Critter 2 cartridge.
- Punch two circles per flower at 1″ and one circle at .75″.
- Run the flower centers using the herringbone and reptile embossing folders through the Cuttlebug machine.
- Put the flowers together and use adhesive to adhere the flower centers.
- Adhere the flowers and stems to the embossed cardstock using adhesive and mini tape runner.

This handmade card is a great way to use up your paper scraps or give you an excuse to buy some pretty paper. The patterned paper does the heavy lifting and gives the flower petals some interest. It really is a simple card and makes you look like a card making genius. This floral card can be adapted to be used for any event or sentiment as it isn’t only for Mother’s Day.
