With deepest sympathy
A dear friend lost his mother a few weeks ago. Sympathy cards are the most challenging to create, but my goal is to focus on remembrance and not so much on the actual loss. You need the following tools and supplies to create this card:
- Cricut machine
- Cricut Wrap It Up cartridge
- Cuttlebug machine
- Cuttlebug embossing folder
- cardstock
- adhesive
Fold the white cardstock so it is a finished size of 4.25″x 5.5″ and cut the white cardstock to 5.25″x 4″. Cut all of the pieces for the yellow rose at 2″. Adhere all of the layers of the rose together. Run the white cardstock through the Cuttlebug machine to emboss. Adhere the rose to the embossed cardstock.
His mother was Texas born and raised and I wanted to celebrate her heritage. Thus, the yellow rose of Texas card in soft, but somewhat uplifting colors. I want him to look at the card and remember her fondly. She will truly be missed.
