I was inspired by this wreath on Pinterest and wanted to make my own version for Halloween. I used the same images from the Mini Halloween Banner because of their timeless appeal. You need the following tools and supplies to create this wreath:
- Cricut machine
- Creative Memories/Cricut cartridge Cheerful Seasons (pumpkin with vine)
- Creative Memories/Cricut cartridge This & That (bat, black cat and spider web)
- Cricut cartridge Stretch Your Imagination ( jack o’lantern
- old book paper
- marbled paper
- patterned paper
- chipboard
- stapler
- glue gun
- wire wreath form
Cut strips in various sizes ranging in width from 3/4″ to 1 1/4″ and 5″ in length. Loop the strips around the wire form using the stapler and keep adding until you have finished the wreath. Glue each strip to each other to provide strength and even out the layering. Cut the Halloween images in various sizes and adhere to chipboard. Adhere each image to complete the wreath.
I used an old wire form left over from last Christmas. My form had cross bands of wires that needed to be covered up and that is why I have as many images as I do on my wreath. These iconic Halloween images add another layer of depth and gave it the finishing touch it needed. I also love the fact that I was able to use some newly created marbled papers from my last studio session. It all came together beautifully and I am very happy with the result.
Happy wreath making!
