What is a window snake you ask? A practical, crafty solution for drafty windows.
Window gap
If you look closely, you will see a large gap between the window frame and window sill where the frame locks into the sill. The window snake will block the gap so we have no unnecessary air flow. We have this gap because this corner of our living room has settled enough that the window that is normally rectangular has become a rhombus.
Window snake
The window snake is a tube of fabric that is filled with dried beans. Mine are quite small and narrow because the window ledge isn’t very deep and I wanted it to blend into the decor. Another design challenge solved.
