Autumn is here and Thanksgiving is around the corner, but you still have time to create decorations for your home to add warmth and coziness. The Autumn Paper Garland is an easy DIY project that you can display for years to come.
Gather the following tools and supplies to create the Autumn Paper Garland:

- Ultimate Card Making Tool Kit
- Creative Memories Border Maker and your favorite border maker cartridge
- leaf punch and maple leaf punch
- patterned paper
- colored cardstock
- thin chipboard (cereal boxes are a nice alternative)
- tape runner and precision point adhesive
- ribbon
- hole punch
- Cut out the letters at 1.75″ using the Cricut Alphabet-Curl font that is free when you login and use Cricut Design Space or Cricut Craft Room. This font isn’t available as a cartridge.
- Punch out various leaf shapes in coordinating paper using the two leaf punches. Punch out several borders and then cut in half.
- Cut the largest square of patterned paper at 3.25″. Cut the smaller square of patterned paper at 3″. You will need 6 squares of each size.
- Cut out 6 squares of chipboard at 3.25″. Adhere the larger square to the chipboard using the tape runner. Adhere the smaller square to the larger square of patterned paper.
- Adhere the letter and leaf to each square followed by the border at the top using the tape runner and precision point adhesive.
- Punch a small hole in the corner of each square and thread the ribbon.
- Hang your Autumn Paper Garland masterpiece!
My Autumn Paper Garland is hanging on my buffet in my dining room. When I created this garland, I originally used patterned paper from my stash. This DIY project lends itself well to any scrapbook paper your have, love or want to buy. The garland also packs away easily and can be used for many years. A decorating win!
