- Cut the khaki cardstock to be 4.25″ high by 8.5″ wide. Cut the khaki cardstock to be 5.25″ high x 4″ wide.
- Fold the khaki cardstock in half lengthwise and use the bone folder to crisp the edge.
- Cut five strips of patterned paper to be .75″ high by 4″ wide.
- Cut the bow using the die and Cuttlebug. You will need to cut it twice to have a total of six pieces.
- Assemble the bow using the demo on the video below as a guide since I used the Stampin’ Up Bow Maker to punch out the bow pieces. You will need a bone folder and tape runner to make the bow.
- Cut happy birthday using the die and Cuttlebug.
- Adhere the paper strips using the tape runner to the khaki cardstock panel. Adhere happy birthday using the glue pen.
- Adhere the panel to the card using foam squares. Adhere the bow to the middle paper strip using the tape runner.
- Write your own sentiment or download the sentiments freebie and mail Day 30 of 31 Days of Handmade Cards.
As with Day 12, the bow makes the card complete. I used the same alphabet die as with Day 19 and I also dipped into my patterned paper stash as with Day 3 and Day 23.
You don’t need a lot of paper to make these cards and therein lies the fun. Figuring out what goes together and making it work. I really love the creative process!
Meet me back here for Day 31 of the 31 Days of Handmade Cards, the last in the series. You don’t want to miss it! Be creative!
Editor’s note: I created this card using the Stampin’ Up Bow Maker, which must be purchased through a demonstrator. The Tim Holtz bow-shaped die is a suitable alternative. Jillibean Soup Birthday Bisque was used to create this card.
