Welcome to Day 24 of 31 Days of Handmade Cards! An animal with a birthday hat is one of the cutest images ever. This bluebird of happiness is from the same Cricut cartridge used for Day 1 and is simple to create.

Gather the following tools and supplies to create the card for Day 24 of 31 Days of Handmade Cards:

• Ultimate Card Making Tool Kit
• Cricut Straight from the Nest cartridge
• birthday embossing folder
• wiggle eyes
• white cardstock and colored cardstock
• tape runner
• glue pen

1. Cut the blue cardstock to be 4.25″ high by 8.5″ wide. Cut the white cardstock to be 5.25″ high x 4″ wide.
2. Fold the blue cardstock in half lengthwise and use the bone folder to crisp the edge.
3. Run the white cardstock using the embossing folder through the Cuttlebug machine.
4. Adhere the embossed panel to the card using the tape runner.
5. Cut bird from Straight from the Nest at 4.25″ high.
6. Assemble the bird together and adhere to the embossed panel.
7. Adhere the wiggle eyes to the bird.

As with Day 10, the wiggle eyes adds much character and whimsy to the bird, which makes it more fun and interactive. The birthday embossed background and party hat gives this card a more celebratory feel. Remove the party hat and make a card with just the bird to brighten a friend’s day. Quick and easy.
