Welcome to Day 23 of 31 Days of Handmade Cards! Birthday gift imagery is common for birthday cards. This card is easy to make using a few simple tools and supplies to create a colorful yet stunning card.
Gather the following tools and supplies to create the card for Day 23 of 31 Days of Handmade Cards:

- Ultimate Card Making Tool Kit
- Washi Chomper
- swiss dots embossing folder
- patterned paper
- white cardstock
- colored bakers twine
- tape runner
- foam squares
- glue pen
- Cut the white cardstock to be 4.25″ high by 8.5″ wide. Cut another piece of white cardstock to be 5.25″ high x 4″ wide.
- Fold the larger piece of white cardstock in half lengthwise and use the bone folder to crisp the edge.
- Run the remaining piece of white cardstock using the embossing folder through the Cuttlebug machine.
- Cut five pieces of patterned paper to 5/8″ x 3 1/4″. Adhere to a scrap piece of white cardstock and trim to fit.
- Fill in the form below to download the happy birthday tags.
- Cut out happy birthday and trim using the washi chomper to make it look like a banner.
- Adhere the gift box to the embossed cardstock using the tape runner and adhere the banner to the gift using foam squares.
- Tie the colored twine in a bow and adhere to the top of the gift using the glue pen.

Maybe a stupid question- but how do you tie the twine into a bow shape? Love this card idea!

Great question! The simplest and easiest way is to tie the twine around a thick needle or bamboo skewer. Slip it off and then tighten the bow. I hope you make this card and would love for you to share it on Pinterest. Happy card making!!
