Welcome to Day 13 of 31 Days of Handmade Cards! Happy Birthday as a graphic is repeated over and over again in birthday cards. This card has the added element of ribbon, which gives it a mixed media feel.

Gather the following tools and supplies to create the card for Day 13 of 31 Days of Handmade Cards:

(These next 8 links are affiliate links which means I get a commission if you purchase through me at no cost to you.)

  1. Cut the white cardstock to be 8″ high by 8″ wide.
  2. Fold the white cardstock in half lengthwise and use the bone folder to crisp the edge.
  3. Punch 5 circles from colored cardstock.
  4. Cut happy using the Everyday Fonts cartridge from white cardstock at 1″.
  5. Cut birthday from Create a Critter 2 from black cardstock at 1.25″.
  6. Adhere happy to the circles using the mini tape runner.
  7. Cut the ribbon long enough to fit under the circles and wrap around to the inside of the card. Adhere the ribbon strips using the mini tape runner.
  8. Adhere the circles using foam squares over the ribbon ends and birthday using the glue pen to the card.
  9. Write your own sentiment or download the sentiments freebie and mail Day 13 of 31 Days of Handmade Cards.

As with Day 8 and 9, I used the same graphic elements, but arranged them differently. That is the genius behind a well designed card. You aren’t limited to one look and you get your money’s worth out of your tools and supplies.

Meet me back here for Day 14 of the 31 Days of Handmade Cards. Be creative!
